As wedding and couples photographers, we always strive to capture the essence of our couples in locations that hold special meaning for them. When T and A approached us with their desire for a mountain engagement session, we knew we had to find the perfect spot to reflect their love for hiking and the great outdoors. After some thought, we decided on Crawford Notch in New Hampshire, a place renowned for its stunning mountain views.

This year, New England has been graced with an unusually wet summer and fall, making it a bit tricky to schedule outdoor sessions. Despite rescheduling multiple times due to persistent rainfall, T and A were determined to have their engagement photos in the mountains they love so much. Finally, we caught a break in the weather—although the day started with rain, by late afternoon, the skies cleared to an overcast, setting the stage for a dramatic and unique photo shoot.

We began our session at the foot of the mountains in Crawford Notch, with the rugged peaks serving as a breathtaking backdrop. The clouds hung low, creating an ethereal atmosphere. After capturing some beautiful moments on the ground, we embarked on a hike up Mount Willard. When we reached the summit, we were rewarded with a panoramic view that was both awe-inspiring and intimate. The diffused light from the overcast sky softened the landscape, making every shot feel like a piece of art.

As the daylight began to wane, we raced down the mountain, capturing the last few moments of twilight before it became completely dark. It was a session filled with determination, love, and the beauty of nature—truly a memorable experience for all of us. It was an honor to photograph such a special time in their lives in a place that means so much to them. Here’s to many more hikes and adventures for this wonderful couple!
